BlueUp Beacons Configuration

BlueUp Beacons Configuration

BlueBeacon beacons are shipped with the following default settings:
  1. Slot 1, 2, 3, 4: Not Configured (i.e. not enabled).
  2. Slot 5: iBeacon (UUID = ACFD065E-C3C0-11E3-9BBE-1A514932AC01, major = 0, minor = S/N, ADV interval = 400 msec, TX power = -8dBm).
  3. Slot 6, 7, 8: Not Configured (i.e. not enabled).
  4. Global Settings: connectable, locked with password "blueup".
These default settings allow to test, without modifications, both iBeacon technology and Physical Web (based on Eddystone-URL with HTTPS URL address).
Nevertheless, it is always possible to change beacon settings, according to user needs, with the configuration and management app BlueBeacon Manager App for beacons with second-generation firmware (with simultaneous support for iBeacon and Eddystone, together with Quuppa technology and Sensors format). The App is available for free for Android (for devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop or newer) on Google Play and for iOS (for devices running iOS 8.0 or newer) on Apple Store.
Default password is the string blueup. It is possible (and strongly recommended, for operating installations) to modify the password once connected to the beacon, from Global Settings. Opening the options list at the top right, you will find the option "Change Password and Disconnect", that allows to modify the password. Password can be any alphanumeric string (with numbers and letters, case-sensitive), including special characters, with minimum length of 6 characters.

In case of bulk orders, we can provide beacons with settings specified according to customer requirements.
