Global Settings

Global Settings

Global Settings menu allows to modify configuration settings that apply to beacon operating modes:
- Remain Connectable (enabled by default): if you disable this option, proprietary packet (containing beacon name) will be non-connectable. To restore in connectable mode you need to power-cycle the beacon, connect to the beacon within 30 seconds and change this setting;
- Anonymous Mode (disabled by default): by enabling this option, beacon will stop broadcasting proprietary packet (containing beacon name). Once disconnected, the beacon will not be listed in nearby beacons list, but will continue to advertise according to the saved configurations for Eddystone, iBeacon and other frames. To restore in default mode you need to power-cycle the beacon, connect to the beacon and change this setting;
- Advertising Daily Schedule (disabled by default): by enabling this option, beacon will advertise configured frames in a certain daily time window, by defining a start and a stop hour (from 0:00 to 23:59). During off-period, the beacon continues to broadcast the proprietary packet with name (unless Anonymous Mode has been enabled), thus, will be listed in the nearby beacon list;
- Accelerometer-based Mode (only for BlueBeacon Tag, disabled by default): it is possible to set an operating mode based on accelerometer status. Four options are available, one excluding the other: two orientation-based modes (beacon enters low-power mode when placed horizontally; e.g., leaning on a plane), and two motion-based modes (the beacon advertise when moved or shaken):
      1. Down-to-Sleep: when placed horizontally, the beacon stops broadcasting all frames;
      2. Down-to-Unset: when placed horizontally, the beacon stops broadcasting all frames configured in slots, but continues broadcasting the packet with name;
      3. Advertise-on-Move: when moved, the beacon starts advertising frames configured in slots (advertising of packet with name is always performed; three levels of sensitivity for motion detection are available, low, medium, high);
      4. Advertise-on-Shake: when moved, the beacon starts advertising frames configured in slots (advertising of packet with name is always performed).
- Button allows to configure single and double click functionalities, among disabled, reboot, factory reset and toggle advertising.

In order to update beacon with new global settings you can:
- press "Update" at the top right;
- press "Back": you will be asked to update beacon with new configuration data.
